The 17th International Sugar and Ethanol Conference, to be held on November 6 and 7, is one of the major events in the global sugar and ethanol schedule. The focus will remain on rendering value to market content, spreading knowledge of new technologies and public policies, as well as encouraging the networking between participants.
In the previous edition, the event was attended by more than 750 people from 30 countries, as well as 60 speakers who discussed for more than 15 hours manners of overcoming the challenges and leveraging the opportunities offered by Brazilian and international market.
“(…) Events like this one are extremely positive. Besides being informative, they lead to reflection of many issues... I congratulate DATAGRO for the realization of this event, which certainly has become a landmark in the sector (…)"
I think society should give value to ethanol not for its price, but for what it stands for. From job creation to HDI improvement, because unfortunately this is not valorized. And the problem is that the longer we use gasoline, we are contributing to impair public health and the environment.
Farmers are willing to invest again in sugar cane crops, so as not to miss the good opportunity we are experiencing right now. And not forgetting to invest in new farming technologies, so that we deliver not only sugarcane, but sustainable sugarcane at the proper moment and in the proper amount to the market.
The moment asks for work and diversification and to be certain that new crisis will emerge. We have always to keep in mind that when a production and price improvement is achieved, soon it is bad again and this drives the economy, drives the production in other countries, drives competition and this is a cycle.
“(...)For us at PwC is a pleasure to be participating on this DATAGRO Conference, which has a huge importance for the sugar and ethanol sectors, since it provides once is a moment of discussion throughof panels which aims to bring alternatives for this sector (…)”
"(...) This conference is by far one of the most significant conferences around the world, because DATAGRO represents the valuable voice out there for the global ethanol industry (...)"
“(...) This is a very traditional event on the sugar and ethanol industry, organized by DATAGRO with great much competencey. All the sugarcane community is being represented here, actively participating in a well-structured and very instigating program (…)”
“(...) DATAGRO represents, for our sector, an opportunity for dialog, for discussion of ideas, for the introduction of new projects introductions. It’s a moment to get together and think about in how to build a stronger, more organized and more winninger sector (…)”
“(...) This event’s importance has been growing, obviously the automotive sector has a very similar view to what happens on the agricultural sector, specially linked to the ethanol production, and the discussions that occurs on events such as this one are fundamental to us. (…)”
