The 18th International DATAGRO Conference on Sugar and Ethanol , to be held on October 29th and 30th, is one of the major events in the global sugar and ethanol schedule. The focus will remain on rendering value to market content, spreading knowledge of new technologies and public policies, as well as encouraging the networking between participants.

In the previous edition, the event was attended by more than 750 people from 30 countries, as well as 60 speakers who discussed for more than 15 hours manners of overcoming the challenges and leveraging the opportunities offered by Brazilian and international market.

Ashok Das Ambassador of India in Brazil, Brasilia, Brazil.

Ambassador Ashok Das is a career diplomat. He joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1987. He has served in India’s diplomatic missions in Portugal, Cambodia, Chicago and has been India’s Assistant High Commissioner in Chittagong, Bangladesh. He has also been India’s Consul General in Vancouver. He has served as Deputy Director General in the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), New Delhi. Prior to her current position she was full professor of Economics at the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. She chaired the Department of Economics from 2002 to 2004 and from 2010 to 2012. She was the president of the Brazilian Competition Council (Cade) from 2004 to 2008. For more than 10 years Dr. Farina was the vice chair of the agribusiness program at the University of Sao Paulo, PENSA. She earned a PhD in economics from the University of Sao Paulo in 1983 and the habilitation title since 1996. She reached the fullprofessorship in 2001. Dr. Farina worked as a consultant in Brazil and other Latin America countries and as economic expert in food and agribusiness strategies and antitrust litigation and mergers and acquisition analysis. Farina published eight books, 14 book chapters, and more than 20 papers in national and international journals.

Luiz de Mendonça is currently the chief executive officer of Atvos Agroindustrial, since 2012. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Braskem S.A. Mr. Mendonça joined the Odebrecht Group in 2002 when he started working at Braskem. Renato Augusto Pontes Cunha, was born in Recife, Pernambuco, on March 10, 1958, father of two daughters, graduated in Law by UFPE, in 1981, and post-graduated in Financial Administration by FESP – University of the State of Pernambuco. In the USA, upon invitation of the American Government, he took part for two weeks in 2005 of training in the scope of the Cochran Program of FAS-USDA. After this date, retention will rise to 90% to cover committed costs. No refunds will be made for cancellation requests received after October 22, 2018.
